Hotel Description: Originally built as a bank in 1923, then converted into a hotel and tastefully refurbished in 1998, the hotel s imposing façade remains an unquestionably impressive landmark on Edinburgh s Royal Mile. The entrance into the hotel is through Logie Bairds Bar, notably live and frequented by locals and visitors alike. The reception is located in the Bank Manager s office at the rear of the Bar where access to the hotel s bedrooms is hidden in the oaked panelled walls. The distinctive bedrooms are on the three floors above the bar in this -A - listed building which has no lift and is, therefore, unsuitable for the elderly or infirm.

The hotel does not have a car park and therefore recommends the guests use the New Street Car Park on New Street just off the Royal Mile. Hotel guests are offered a discount. We occasionally have themed events and outside disco which all guests are invited to join. The Three Sisters Pub is located next to the reception and is open daily from 9am until 1am featuring live DJ s 7 nights a week. Noise from the pub can affect bedrooms overlooking the courtyard.
